No Difference

NO DIFFERENCE

Acts 15:4 And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them. 5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses. 6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter. 7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. 8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

This is the passage of scripture which records the very first council of the church. It set guidelines for understanding what of the Old Testament traditions should be maintained in the new Christian era. You will find the decree listed in verses twenty three through twenty nine of this chapter. And this is where the Gentiles were relieved from what the Apostle Paul calls the weak and beggarly elements of Jewish tradition. (Gal. 4:9).
And it was well received, not being a hinderance, nor binding consciences, but granting joy and liberty in following Christ. For we read in Acts 16:4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem. 5 And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.
We must be very careful in not allowing priestcraft to raise its ugly head among us, but seek for those ministers who are helpers of our joy! 2 Corin. 1:24 Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand. 1 Peter 5:3 Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
The desire to practice Jewish tradition is a very strong and deceptive spirit! Entire religions are built upon their ceremonies and pageantry! 2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
The problem arose from the coming together of two kinds of believers from very different backgrounds. The Jewish believers came from a lifestyle of a strong consciousness of the law of Moses. But the Gentiles had no such formal training!
The Apostle Paul addresses this in his Roman letter. Romans 2:9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11 For there is no respect of persons with God. 12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; 13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. 14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: 15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) 16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
Paul here, first lists out that both the evil Jew and Gentile alike shall receive God’s tribulation and anguish. Then he states that both the good Jew and Gentile alike shall be recipients of God’s honor and peace! So both are the same in these matters. But then he comes to the matter of their relation to the law. And he states that it is not the one who hears the law, but that one who obeys what is written therein that is justified before God. So although they have both come from varied backgrounds, and from different experiences in the hearing of the law, that is not the issue! The issue is that one, even like the Gentiles, who was never brought up in the law, will keep the law when the Holy Spirit writes it upon the fleshly tables of their hearts! For the Holy Spirit is lawful, whether in himself, or whether he is dwelling within the heart of man! And any man, no matter the background from which he came, will act lawfully with the Holy Spirit creating a new nature within him!

Regenerate Gentiles are spiritual Jews!

And as far as those who keep the law by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, born again Gentiles are true Jews! Romans 2:26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? 27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law? 28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: 29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
For we are the true children of Abraham, not by compliance to the ceremonial law, but by the faith of Christ! Galatians 3:6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
Our Lord himself clearly proclaimed that it was not his natural kin, even his own mother, who were truly his relations, but it was obedient believers! Luke 8:19 Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press. 20 And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee. 21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.
Christ is not to ever be known again according to the flesh! 2 Corin. 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

All sinners are alike!

We also find Peter’s two words, (the words which form our title), in the Apostle Paul’s Roman letter. Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
The Prophet Isaiah also instructs us of this. Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. All men, whether Jew or Gentile, have one thing in common. We have all gone astray from the righteousness of God. We have all denied the glory of God in defacing God’s image invested in us! In this, no one nation, or people is different from any other!
Dear Reader, there are no holy, no noble unregenerate Jews! There are no noble unregenerate Gentiles! Romans 3:9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
THE elect “nation” now is the church, not national Israel! It is in speaking to “you which believe,” that the Apostle Peter applies this description! But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: (1 Peter 2:9). And then he deals with “them which be disobedient” – NOT specifying either Jew or Gentile! And to those disobedient, of whatever nationality, he states that Christ, the corner stone of the true building (the church), becomes to them a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. (1 Peter 2:8).
Listen to what the Lord himself stated to the nation of Israel: Luke 13:34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! 35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. That house of which he speaks is their temple! And he makes it clear that he shall no more deal with them as a nation.
They will now only come to say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord, in personal, individual regeneration, just like any other sinner. The Apostle Paul deals with this in Romans eleven, as he speaks of God being able to graft them, as individuals believers, back into the tree of salvation as individual branches. Paul also reminds them that the root of Abraham’s faith sustains all believers, and that Abraham was formerly an uncircumcised Gentile! Romans 4:11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

Not a single individual was ever saved by keeping the law!

Neither King David, the man after God’s own heart, nor Noah, nor Elijah, not even Moses, whom God used to write the law, is in heaven right now because of their keeping the law! For that is not even the purpose of the law! Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. 21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
The law stopped all mouths from declaring the heart’s righteousness outside of Christ. The law causes everyone to know of their guilt before God. And the law is a school master to direct one to Christ for salvation! Gal. 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
Man’s works of righteous are as filthy rags in the sight of God! (Isa. 64:6). We are saved by grace alone, through the gift of faith alone! Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. We are not saved OF works! but most assuredly UNTO good works! Like the tail of the dog. Call the dog and the tail will follow with him. If God calls a man effectually by his grace, the fruit of the Spirit will follow him!
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
May God have mercy! Pastor Gene Breed.

Not See Death – Heb. 11:5-6

NOT SEE DEATH

Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

We are told that our faith in the Lord Jesus is built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets (Eph. 2:20). And here we have the Apostle Paul giving us his spiritual revelation of his reading of the Prophet Moses’ writings of Genesis 5:18-27. Let us prayerfully seek the Lord in this wonderful provision to build up our faith by this apostle and prophet!

When you read the fifth chapter of the Book of Genesis, one thing certainly stands out. And that is the reoccurrence of the phrase, and he died! For this phrase ends verses 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 27, and 31. Every man mentioned in Genesis five is said to have died except Enoch and Noah. But if we turn to Genesis 9:29, we there find those words applied to Noah! So the world before the flood was a world of longevity, but also of certain death!

God had warned the first couple regarding the tree of knowledge of good and evil,  in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. And even though they walked out of that garden, physically alive, they walked out dead in trespasses and sin! It was as God has said! The very day they ate of that tree, they died spiritually! And spiritual death brought on physical death. And if a remedy is not found, physical death brings on eternal death!

So now we see why Enoch’s issue of faith was to believe God that he should not see death! And when  this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. (1 Corin. 15:54). And is that not the issue of every believer now alive on earth? Are we not all looking for the appearance of our Lord Christ so that our mortality may be swallowed up of life? Our very birth by the Spirit includes within it this very living hope! 1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

This is not only our living hope from the beginning of our new birth, it is also the continuing hope throughout our entire earthly stay! 1 Peter 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

And not only do we have all that in common with our dear brother Enoch, but he also, having the same precious faith delivered to all saints, saw things not seen that pertain to us!

He lived approximately 65 years after Adam’s death and was translated approximately that same amount of time before Noah’s birth. So he was in that world that  caused God to repent that he had made man! (Gen. 6:6). Because GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Gen. 6:5). What a dreadful day he lived in. – Much like the day in which we live! – Just like the days shall be at the return of our Lord!

Luke 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. There was only self consciousness! There was no God consciousness! Man only existed for the satisfaction of his natural appetites. And God proclaims that to be only evil!

And what is the issue in the only recorded preaching of our brother Enoch? Listen to him preach! Jude 14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, 15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

His preaching concerned itself, not only with his day, but here, specifically with the days of the coming of the Lord! His faith evidenced to him the very days of those mortals, alive and remaining on earth, who themselves like him, would put on immortality at the end of the age! His faith revealed to him these things unseen by those who only had a natural consciousness!

But before his translation Enoch is said to have pleased God. And in this he is also a picture of our Lord Jesus Christ. For in  Matthew 3:17 we read, And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

And the two things recorded in Hebrews 11:6, listed above, that are required to please God are; one must believe that God is, and one must be assured that God responds to a personal faith and hope in him! But Enoch didn’t just believe in a “higher power,” or a “first cause,” or even just a “supreme being!” For that is not of true, living faith! That’s just religious conjecture!

Enoch believed in the personal God that personally revealed himself to his own heart! He was not just mentally acquainted with some “god” that others taught him out of a Bible! He had no Bible! In the midst of those days so dark that all flesh had to be destroyed, he believed in the God of divine revelation! He believed in the God of The Word! His faith, – THE faith of all true believers, saw the invisible God and he acted upon that faith! THAT is the key to both Enoch’s and all of our everlasting life, wherein we all  shall Not See Death!

For the last generation of true believers on earth shall also be living among a generation that shall be destroyed at the coming of the Lord, as themselves are translated! 2Thess. 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

And not only shall every one of God’s elect not see eternal death, but those who are alive and remaining on the earth at the Lord’s return shall, with Enoch, not see physical death! 1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

And how are we to enter into Enoch’s translation on a daily basis? We are to consider ourselves to be God’s living sacrifices, not living unto ourselves, nor seeking only our goals and ambitions. We are to be transformed, or translated, above it all to a higher consciousness of God by faith. For we are said to be seated in heavenly places as we sojourn on earth!

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

By Faith Noah – Heb. 11:7

BY FAITH NOAH

Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

It’s interesting to see that this verse begins and ends with the words, by faith. For Noah was moved by faith after being spiritually warned of God of the upcoming world wide judgment. And having acted upon that revelation, he then became an heir of the righteousness which is only had by faith.

Abel is a look at the Worship of Faith. Enoch is a look at the Walk of Faith. And Noah is a look at the Work of Faith. In Abel we see the Lord Jesus dying, as the righteous sacrifice. In Enoch we see the Lord Jesus living, as well pleasing before his translation. And in Noah we see the Lord Jesus saving, as he prepares for the salvation of his family.

Faith and Fear

Psalm 56:3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. Fear and faith can occupy the same heart at the same time! Noah’s faith saw the invisible God and His warning was taken very seriously. Coupled with his faith was a reverential fear of that God, which brought a diligence about his task. For the faith that is without works is a dead faith! This is the same for every believer in every generation! The Apostle Paul writes of the awareness of God’s sovereign power and judgment as his motivation to diligence in 2 Corinthians 5:11. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

This apostle also calls us to faithful service, with godly fear, that alone is acceptable in the kingdom of the Lord! Hebrews 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: 29 For our God is a consuming fire. Acceptable service to the glorious Majesty is never without godly fear and reverence!

The warning of God brought a knowledge of both the severity and the urgency of the hour. The knowledge of the approaching day of the coming of the Lord should do the same for us! Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. And the Apostle Peter writes in 2 Peter 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

We must be careful that we do not allow the spirit of apathy that is blanketing our land, nor the over reacting to the charge of ‘date setting,’ to make us dull in looking for the return of our dear Lord! For the belief in his second coming should be just as strongly held to as his bearing our sin on the cross! For they are both contained in the one verse of Hebrews 9:28. So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. (That is, when he appears the second time he shall have no more provision for sin, nor sinners! Salvation’s day will have ended! Rev. 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still:…).

We are frequently instructed by the Spirit of the Scriptures to be mindful of the return of our Lord. Romans 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

In fact this doctrine causes us to seek to be more godly. Philippians 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. James 5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

1 Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. 2 Peter 3:11  Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

The confusion in our day within Christendom concerning the second coming of the Lord has wrecked havoc in the purity in the souls of those claiming to be believers! Soul’s are purified by provided affliction. But religionists in our day believe that any affliction in their lives is of the Devil! They even have a false doctrine of some secret rapture to relieve themselves of any tribulation that shall occur on earth! But listen to these verses.

1 Peter 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

2 Corinthians 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

2 Corinthians 7:4 Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation. Notice that both of these last two verses say, “IN” all our tribulation; not “FROM” our tribulation! For the entrance into the kingdom is provided through “much tribulation!” Acts 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

The Evidence of the Late Hour

Genesis 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. The days of Noah are one of the days of which the Lord stated that the days of his return would be like! (Matt. 24:37, Lk. 17:26). In those days there was a termination of all the people on the earth except those in the safety of the ark.

And those days are also stamped with the translation of Enoch. He pictures those mortals who shall put on immortality. (1 Cor. 15:53,54). These are those born again believers who are also alive physically upon the return of the Lord, for they, like Enoch, shall go into the presence of the Lord without dying.          While those in the graves are referred to as the corruptible who must put on incorruption. So we too, face the day of all flesh being terminated in their natural live upon the earth! So what is the evidence of this late hour? Let’s just see the pattern of these days and not adopt the silly conjectures of the spirit of the Harlot!

First, men who walked with God made known their visions to their generation! Gen. 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. In both Genesis 5:24 and 6:9 it is recorded that Enoch and Noah walked with God! In this fellowship and communion they came to see the revelation of God’s purposes. For in Amos 3:3 we read,  Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

And these men did not keep what they came to know by their walk with God from their  fellowmen! For we have Enoch’s sermon listed out for us in Jude. Listen to his message!

He warns that the Lord is coming, bringing his saints with him! And he warns that all will have to give account of their deeds! He gave sound warning for them to flee from the wrath to come! – And he saw all the way into our age, here at the ends of the world! (1 Cor. 10:11 … upon whom the ends of the world are come.)

And of Noah we read in 2 Peter 2:5, And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; We can see by these verses that both the worlds of Noah and Enoch knew everything that these witnesses knew!  But it was like the ministry of Jeremiah the prophet! The people would not heed their message! Jer. 7:13 And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not; 14 Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh. 15 And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.

Secondly, it is a late hour when the Holy Spirit has exhausted His striving with men! Gen. 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

Isaiah 63:10 But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them. And once the Spirit of the Lord has been vexed, even the former intercessors cannot avail in pleading for the Lord’s mercy! Jeremiah 7:16 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee. Jer. 15:1 Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.

Ezek. 14:13 Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it: 14 Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.

There shall come a similar day upon this same planet of which our Lord spoke in his ministries’ end. Luke 19:42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. 43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, 44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

Rev. 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

for that he also is flesh” – 1 Cor. 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. Then all of Adam’s race is gathered into two distinct groups. – Those of the flesh, whom it is not possible to renew again. The other of the Spirit, prepared to enter into the joys of the Lord!
