COME OUT OF HER
Revelation 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. 4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. 6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. 7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. 8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
Before we begin, let us inform our readers that we are not coming from the spirit of the “Freedom From Religion Foundation” which has routine ads with its spokesperson Ronald Reagan, Jr. He is a self proclaimed atheist, and ends his tv ad with the words, “And I am not afraid to burn in Hell!” In their annual report for 2021 they state that they have a membership of 35,500. And in that report they also state that they have successfully stopped bible classes in West Virginia schools; sued to take down a monument of the Ten Commandments in front of the Arkansas Capitol; and removed the phrase, “So help me God” for registration to vote in another state!
They are doing the work of the ten kings (a common spirit in confederated nations), who are prophesied to hate the whore and destroy her. Revelation 17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
Our objective is to help true, born again believers, sought by the Father, to wake up to the realization that membership in a religious organization is not salvation! Therefore in the expounding of this verse to “Come out of her, my people,” we are striving to be true to our Master and his calling, to warn those in Babylon’s bondage to wake up to that strong deception, coupled with inordinate affections, and come back to the true worship of Christ alone. 1 Corinthians 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. 34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
In times past, having been an unconverted, baptized church member for seven years, I know by experience how the false deception of peace makes one totally unaware of their dangerous condition. Satan, as a strong man keeps his deceived souls in a false peace. They know not their condition until Christ, the stronger man comes and spoils him of these deceived souls. Luke 11:21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: 22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
For Christ is not to be found in location, but in condition of heart! John 4:21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Matthew 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
Where is the true organism of the church to be located, and therefore identified? It is the spiritual souls who hunger and thirst after righteousness. It can only ‘be seen’ in those who need to ‘feed’ constantly from Christ by the Holy Spirit. Matthew 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. John 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. John 6:57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
And just who does Babylon represent? It has a two-fold representation. When it is setting forth human government it is identified by animals. For when Daniel was being shown the Gentile world orders, he was shown various animals. Daniel 7:3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. 4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it. 5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh. 6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. 7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
The lion was the Caldeans, under Nebuchadnezzar. The bear was the Medes and Persians, under Darius and Cyrus. The leopard was the Greeks, under Alexander the Great. And the fourth beast was so dreadful that it had not an animal to picture it, which was the Romans, under the Caesars.
Also remember that when the Lord referred to King Herod he spoke of him as a “fox.” Luke 13:31 The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee. 32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
But when Babylon is setting forth the Harlot church it is identified by a woman. Revelation 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. 16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
Revelation 19:1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: 2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
The only act for recovery from the influences of spiritual, Babylonian harlotry is said to be one’s “coming out.” And we have a passage in Ephesians which reveals how one is to replace the demonic tendencies with godly, spiritual traits, which must be preceded by regeneration. Ephesians 4:27 Neither give place to the devil. 28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. 29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
This is why our Lord instructs us to “Strive to enter in.” Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. He also instructs us to labor for the true spiritual nourishment. John 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. For salvation is most certainly “not OF works,” but it most assuredly is “unto good works!” For the sanctified good works which follow salvation are as much ordained of the Lord as are those believers! Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Matthew 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Yet we know that we shall never be free from the influences of evil as we remain in this world. The Apostle Paul truly stated that to be entirely free from such evil influences one would have to go out from this world! 1 Corinthians 5:9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
And our Lord spoke of the world’s tribulations and how we are to deal with them through his victory over them for us. John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
And we know of one who was involved in harlotry in her natural life, but came to so overcome it that she was actually included in the lineage of David, the king, and therefore of the Lord Jesus! Hebrews 11:31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. Matthew 1:5 And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; (Rahab) and Booz (Boaz) begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse; 6 And Jesse begat David the king;
We are not to devote our energies to destroy organized religion from off the face of the earth. That shall absolutely occur! But that is the Lord’s work in judgment against the Great Harlot. Our responsibility is to search out and destroy every semblance of such spiritual harlotry that dwells within our souls. We are to provide our holy and glorious Master with the pure and true spirit as of a virgin bride. Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
The following is a sanctification passage! The marriage supper is our being regenerated so that we, as those ‘eagles’ may feast from Christ! Revelation 19:5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. 6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
