LORD OVER THE WATERS
Our dear Lord is gone into the heavens, there to intercede for his elect as their Heavenly Advocate, while they war on earth against the forces of darkness. And since Satan can no longer get to Christ, having been cast down into that which is earthy, he now comes after those who have not the Spirit of God! He does so by sending forth a false gospel from his own mouth! But Christ’s true sheep will not effectually hear or follow any other shepherd but Himself! John 10:5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
The sword of the Spirit from the mouth of Christ (Rev. 1:16 … and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.), is a far more powerful word to them than the waters of the false gospel from the Serpent’s mouth! And the Sovereign Lord has provided these expendable husks to protect the elected wheat! Isaiah 43:3 For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. 4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
He has provided the earthy to “swallow up” the false gospel! Revelation 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. 13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. 14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. 15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. 16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. 17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Our Lord shall preserved his people – not “FROM” these waters, but “THROUGH” them! He has provided the truth which shall set them all free from its influence! Isaiah 43:1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
And the waters of the false spirit and gospel have “returned” to those who would lord over God’s heritage! They are taken down by that which they exacted upon others! For with what measure they measure out, God has measured back to them! Exodus 14:28 And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them. 29 But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
These ministers of Satan (2 Corin. 11:15) may be going about deceiving other souls, but rest assured that they are, at the same time being deceived! 2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
May the light and life of Christ, the Light of the world, be upon the dark waters again, and forever! Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
For our Lord, being Master of Heaven and Hell, walks sovereignly upon all the waters! Mark 6:49 But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out: 50 For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
And because they will not receive the love of the truth, the Lord has assigned the Whore church, with her false gospel to deceive them all! 2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. Revelation 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
Now to the true church all the waters are removed that once separated and divided! Rev. 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. The sea separates languages, customs and nations. But the true church is made of one faith out of all these former divisions! Revelation 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
And the waters (the spiritual kindred involvements – Eph. 3:15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,) that remain for the true church are as pure glass, without alarming wave, or even a distracting ripple! It is now a sea of a fiery, spiritual holiness wherein nothing that offends can survive! Revelation 4:6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
Revelation 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
The former things are all passed away including the remembrance of their unsaved family members and natural kin. These things are wiped from their memories along with the tears from their eyes! Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
