Psa. 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
The stroking brush did pull her hair;
The pain to her was real.
The constant word from Mother was;
“Child you must stand still!”
His thumbs sought out his trouser seams;
His sergeant made him reel.
But movement was no option now;
He knew he must stand still.
In little child, or soldier strong;
Discipline has no appeal.
But saint of God to spiritually train;
The Sovereign says, “Stand still.”
Any movement on the servants part;
Will from Himself distract;
And only cause to once again;
To this place come back!
For from this spot one can’t progress;
Until you get it right.
‘Tis better now to yield to God;
Than to resist and fight.
