The Priest’s Intercession
I walk today before the Lord;
I’m conscious of His glory.
My present existence upon this scene,
Is woven in His story.
And upon my spiritual chest I bear;
As a watcher of souls elected;
An interceding spirit of trusting faith
For these never yet neglected.
They ask me for my prayers;
I assure them of my will;
But not from just words of lips;
But from this heart He’s filled.
For the Spirit of our Lord Christ;
Working with fear and shutters;
Makes intercessions for their needs,
With groanings yet unuttered.
So I go my way from His throne;
In satisfying peace;
The spirit in it’s lightening speed;
Has granted me release.
A group of kings and priests he said;
Amazed I’m included in these.
For it is my heart’s position to remain,
Forever upon my knees!
